AAARGH!!!

When we first saw this bed at Costco we loved it but thought no way should we buy it. Then we thought since those two love to sneak into our bed at night maybe we could make a deal...new bed = sleep in their new bed!! (it works) Jacob and Chloe still share a room temporarily until we make a girl room (we are in a 3 bedroom so it is hard to fit) but Chloe is as much a girly girl as she is a tom boy (perfect middle child between a boy and a girl) so she loves the bed as much as Jacob. Hopefully she wont be too sad when we move her out!

Bella

I just wanted to show this cute picture of Bella....

SNOW!!!!

We woke up this morning to snow in the hills around us. (Just a few minutes from our house) After Jacob and Chloe got out of preschool we headed to it. It was still snowing a little as you can see in the pictures. We tossed some snowballs (my parents joined us) and since none of us have the proper snow gear anymore we didn't stay too long because we were too cold. Only Jacob wanted to stay and have a boys versus girls snowball fight!

Disneyland

We had the chance to go to Disneyland on Tuesday. It was a lot of fun except a little too cold for me! (and Bella!!!) This is the first time time Jacob and Chloe went on Space Mountain. Last time we went Chloe wasn't tall enough. I was nervous to see their reaction when it was done...Chloe was a little stunned and then excitedly said she would do it again...Jacob was ready for round 2! I'm so glad they had fun on it. I remember when I was younger (not sure what age) I was in line to go on it and I was too scared so I backed out. My kids are showing me up!! Disneyland is doing the year of a million dreams again so when we were going on the kid rides we saw how long the Peter Pan ride line was (it is always long) and told the kids we would skip it this time. Then a Disneyland employee came up to us and asked the kids if they wanted to go on Peter Pan. Of course they said yes and so he took right on to the ride. We didn't have to wait. Thanks Disneyland employee!!

I've been tagged

Ok, so I am already getting an F in blogging. (If that even makes sense) I haven't even updated it since I started. I always have every intention of doing so but most of the time getting some sleep wins out. So about this tagging thing. Since this is a family blog I am going to cheat and say one thing about each of the other members of my family to help me with my 10....
1. I am right there with you Mindy. My closets have to be the same exact way and it drives David crazy. He is always telling me that he could really care less how is clothes are hung up but it drives me crazy when it is not organized by color, style, and facing the same way with white hangers! It is so hard for me to fold the laundry and put it away when everybody's closets and drawers are a mess!!
2. Along with the closets I am also very OCD about cleaning my house. David swears I am doing some sort of spring cleaning every week. I do insist on doing a very thorough cleaning of my house every week. It is becoming harder to do since the number of my children is growing and my living space is growing. I am happy to say that I have learned to be ok with it being messy because of the kids....toys, games...I just don't like it to be dirty. By the way when my house is clean I feel so relaxed and I am so happy.
3. I do love to watch T.V. I have slowed down a little recently, but watching the television is very relaxing to me and helps me unwind.
4. I LOVE TO TAKE BATHS! Especially with candles (I do love candles throughout my house), there is nothing like a hot bath to sit and relax in.
5. I love to read People Magazine. It is a combination of (non important but interesting to read) celebrity gossip and stories of everyday people. David was tired of paying full price at the grocery store, so he bought me a subscription for Christmas so that we could save a little money.
6. I really could go for the rest of my life without ever having a pet, but, my husband and my daughter will not allow it. I'm not a big fan of the smell or the hair that pets tend to leave in your home. Chloe is always asking for a puppy, and David really loves all animals and has informed me that as soon as we buy a house it will come packaged with a dog. No for the help from my family....
7. David is a huge Star Wars fan. He even attended the Star Wars convention this year in L.A. He is constantly buying Star Wars toys for "Jacob", though, we both know that he truly enjoys playing with them as well.
8. Jacob is super picky about how his clothes fit him. To the point of paying attention of how tight or loose they are, how the material feels on his skin, if his socks don't fit exactly right, if the shoes are even a little too big... I could go on and on. He's a sweet boy but super picky about his clothes.
9. Chloe insists on having a full conversation with you while she is on the toilet! She does like to give you a play-by-play of what she needs to do in the bathroom. Whenever we go out there is no possibility of having a quick bathroom break. I can feed Bella before Chloe gets to finishing her bathroom routine. I know because I did it today!
10. Bella has an extreme allergy to dairy. She should eventually outgrow it but for now I can not eat anything with milk in it. It is so bad that the other day I had a hamburger for lunch and that evening she was screaming in pain. I finally figured out that the bun had milk in it. It was a difficult adjustment at first but I honestly would do anything for my daughter's well being. (and my pocket book. I would have to buy the super expensive over $20/can formula for her to eat) Hey, it forces me to eat healthy and lose my baby weight in the process!!! :)
Elaine, and 9 other people that I do know but do not know that they have blogs have been tagged!!!! :) :)

Bella's Blessing

New Years came and went. The only reason David and I stayed up was becuase Bella went to bed 7 minutes before midnight. She normally does not stay up that late (fortunately). I guess she just wanted to help us ring in the new year!
Now to today..... We had the opportunity to bless the newest addition to our family. I warned David that she would probably cry and of course my little girl didn't disappoint. It was definately a special day for us. We are so grateful to have our family continue to grow. It has only been 9 long, sleep deprived weeks (David wanted to say that) and we can not imagine life without her!!!

Jacob turns 5!!!

On December 30th Jacob turned 5. For his birthday this year he really wanted a party at Chuck E Cheese. So on the 28th we had a party. It was so much fun to have our friends and family come. Everybody had a lot of fun including Jacob. He had so much fun, in fact, that on the way home he complained that his head hurt. I explained to him that he probably had a headache and he then asked me why. I explained that it is really loud in there with all of the kids playing. He pondered that for awhile and then exclaimed, "Somebody should have told those kids not to be so loud!"
We can't believe our little Jacob is already 5! Happy Birthday Jacob!!!

Our Christmas card picture

I forgot to add our Christmas card picture of the kids.

Christmas

Next on November 21st David turned 31. What an old man. Sorry I don't have any pictures.

Christmas was a lot fun this year. We enjoyed having Christmas morning with the kids at our house. It's nice to be living here in California close to family, instead of visiting for Christmas. David and I enjoyed spending the morning watching Jacob and Chloe open their presents. Bella, of course, slept right through the present opening!

I have to tell you this story about Chloe: A couple of weeks before Christmas she kept telling us that she didn't want any presents for Christmas; she only wanted them for her birthday. When I told her that her birthday would not be for quite awhile she kept saying that it was ok. When I asked her if she would be sad to not open presents on Christmas morning while Jacob opened his; she continued to tell us that it was ok. She continued to say that she would wait for presents until her birthday. David and I could not figure out why she continued to insist on waiting until her birthday. Finally, Chloe spilled the beans and told us why she would wait: At our ward Christmas party she was to shy to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what she wanted; so, she thought he wasn't going to bring her presents. I guess she was just trying to prepare herself. I felt so bad for her that I quickly came up with the plan to have "daddy" contact Santa for her and let him know what she wanted for Christmas. She was very relieved. She was now very excited and looking forward to Christmas!
We are also very grateful for Christmas and the opportunity we have to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

The last two months

Yes, we are probably the last to start a blog; but it's better late then never, right? I enjoy looking at everybody else's and seeing how you are all doing. I know I should comment and say hi but for some reason I am shy about it. I know it sounds silly.

Well, I will start with November 3rd. This is the day our Isabella (Bella) Grace was born. This whole pregnancy I have always thought about who she will be more like; Jacob or Chloe. Well, let me tell you , she wanted to let us know from the very beginning that she is her own person! From labor and delivery (I had to have an emergency c-section) to our first 9 weeks with her thus far. We love her so much and are so grateful to have her in our family.
