I know, Disneyland again...

I'm obviously not doing too well on keeping up with our blog. Like I said before, we have been so busy it's hard to find time. Here's a few posts showing some of the things happening in our life right now.

We really wanted to get away for a few days so we decided to go to Disneyland. It was a lot of fun to spend some quality time together. David's step mom, son and family joined us for one of the days. The kids enjoyed Disneyland and they also enjoyed swimming at our hotel. I don't know why but I didn't take any pictures of them swimming. This was Bella's first trip to Disneyland where she could really see what was going on. The first day we were there she barely slept! She kept waking up to watch everything going on around her. She was so tired by time we left that she went right to sleep!

Here's the only proof that I was even there. I don't even remember why I took this picture but unfortunately it is the only picture I am sort of in.

Good job David!!

David is always busy working hard at work. His jobs always differ in the amount of time they take to get done. The amount of jobs he has going on at one time also varies. He has had one job in particular that he has been working on since the start of the new year. It was a complete condo remodel in Beverly Hills. He was able to finish it last week and it's a load off his shoulders. Pictures never really do justice in this situation and he doesn't have any before pictures but here is a couple of after pictures. He said he wishes he would have taken better pictures but here are a couple that he does have. Way to go David!! Thanks for working so hard for us!! We love you!!

I missed it!!

A few weeks ago I put Bella on her tummy to play. I walked out of the room for a minute to talk to Jacob and Chloe and when I walked back in she was on her back!!! I can't believe I missed it!! Fortunately, I have since seen her roll over. She is also able to sit up on her own. Of course sometimes when she starts grabbing for toys she will fall over. I can't believe how big she is getting. She wiil be 6 months on Saturday.

Japan

My younger brother Michael joined the Air Force last fall. He just finished going through boot camp and training for the last 6 months. His wife Karen has been a real trooper staying here with their two kids while he has been away. He graduated a couple of weeks ago, was able to come out here for a week, and now the whole family is off to Japan where he will be stationed for a few years!! We got together as a family last Sunday to have dinner and say goodbye. We wish them luck on their new venture and we will miss them!! At least he will be close to my sister. Her husband is stationed in Guam.

Horses

The kids recently went of a field trip with thier preschool class to ride horses. It's the first time either of them have ridden horses.
Here's Jacob feeding the horse. Chloe quickly lost interest in feeding the horse, after she was told that it would possibly bite your fingers.

This is Jacob's friend Travis. He is actually my sister-in-law's nephew. He's pretty close to family.

Chloe's party

We finally had Chloe's party. I really didn't want to do a Chuck E. Cheese birthday party for her, but givien the circumstances, we thought it would be easier. She had a lot of fun; and that is all that matters!

Happy Birthday Chloe!!

So three days after my Easter post Chloe had her 4th birthday. I should be posting a blog all about her wonderful birthday but it didn't exactly end up that way. Poor Chloe, let me explain why her birthday was overshadowed... On the 29th of March we started a move into a small house that David is remodeling. He has been working nonstop for 2 months on it and I still moved in without a working kitchen!! AAHH! To make a long story short we are moving into it for awhile and then we plan on having this house be a rental. (If all goes well of course) Back to the story... Moving always takes longer than you think and we were hoping to break away for her birthday. Well the night before Bella cried alllllllll night long. It was by far the worst night we ever had with her. She only slept out of pure exhaustion for little bits at a time and only when you were holding her. As soon as urgent care opened (now this is the day of Chloe's birthday) I was there. I bet you don't need to guess. EAR INFECTIONS She had just finished medicine on Friday and the doctor, on Friday, said her ear looked better!!??

So, after a long morning I went home. Well probably an hour later I was back at urgent care with Jacob. He hit his head on a teeter toter and split his forhead open. It wasn't a big cut but I knew he needed stitches. He ended up with 5 stitches.

Since the day was shot we were able to take Chloe out to dinner. We went to a tokyo steak house. My kids call it the "fire place". Believe it or not that is where she wanted to go. It was a lot of fun. After we went home for cake. Due to all of the craziness of moving and remodeling I hadn't even bought her birthday presents yet! To make it up to her we took her to Toys R Us to pick out her birthday presents. A Hanna Montana Guitar and outfit was the winning choice. (I can't believe we are already saying goodbye to Dora and hello to Hanna Montana!!) We are going to finally have a birthday party for her this weekend.
